So ı recently purchased this built:

MSI Z170A Tomahawk Motherboard
Intel i7 6700K skylake chip
MSI Gtx 1070 pro gaming
2x8 16GB Corsair Vengaence Red Led 3000mhz Ram

Now i want to up my ram but i dont wanna sell or throw away my existing sticks. So would it be possible to Buy 2x16 32gb version of the Same Ram? same brand also running at 3000Mhz

so i would end up with 48GB.
if this doesnt work i would end up selling my 16 gigs and buying 2 kits of 2x16 32GB Ram and make it 64GB.

I need the extra RAM for Visual Effects Work and will be using the PC for Compositing in Nuke and 3D in Cinema 4D

Thanks in Advance

It might work and might not. Anytime you add memory that was not sold in a matched set their a chance it will not work together.
If you buy a 2X16gb set and it dont work with what you already have then buy anouther 2X16gb set their a chance it won't work together also.
