I'm thinking about upgrading my 8320, I currently have a Founders 1070 also, I'm not sure if I should upgrade to an 4690K or an 6600k, for the 4690k I can pay $300 and keep my old RAM but with the 6600K I'd need to pay an extra $90, is it worth it to get the 6600K? My friend is also offering me his 9590 mobo and shitty liquid cooler for $250.
Which of the 3 should I do?:
6600K, MOBO, RAM-$400
4690K MOBO- $300
9590 MOBO Cooler- $250.

I'd rather not do the 9590 because I kinda wanna go Intel but I'm not sure if it's the best option.

Solution
The 9590 is considered one of the worst CPUs ever made. I would avoid it.

My opinion - go with the 6600K, it's faster per clock and overclocks higher. Socket 1151 will be receiving at least 2 more generations of new CPUs which will drop into the socket. You can probably get most of the cost of new RAM back by selling your DDR3 in the classifieds on here. You might also consider an i7 6700 + less expensive B150 board instead, it'll be faster than an overclocked 6600K in nearly all modern games.

You can shave $45 off of that if you're fine with 8GB of RAM, the motherboard has 4 RAM slots so you can drop in another 8 or 16 later.

Solution

9590? No.

I answered a similar question over here http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3276028/4690k-6600k.html . In a nutshell I chose the 6600K i5. With new Kaby Lake CPUs hitting the market in a couple of weeks I'd wait to upgrade.
