New SSD Causing Overheating

My laptop is running very hot when only doing minimal tasks. It normally heats up to high 60s or low 70s degrees celsius when only at 10% CPU usage. (I used SpeedFan to find these).

It has also overheated a handful of times. It is not a powerful laptop but I never had problems before. It is around four years old. This started happening roughly at the same time I installed a new SSD and I'm wondering if this could be the cause?

The only other changes I made around the same time was I installed Windows 10 and I purchased a new cheap charger as the last had broken. (However, it heats up when it's running the battery or plugged in).

My first thought was dusty fans or old thermal paste, however, I had them cleaned and new paste applied and although it doesn't heat up as quickly it still gets very hot. The SSD was also installed professionally.

Thanks very much!

The hardware:
Samsung 90X3A,
Intel i5-2467 1.60 GHz,
4GB RAM,
Crucial MX200 250GB mSATA 6Gb/s Internal

Solution
SSDs run cooler and use less power than HDDs so it can't be physical reason for overheating. Most likely new windows were installed but programs for power and fan control were not.

Thanks for the advice. I've had a look around and apparently Samsung laptops in general have struggled with the Windows 10 update.

I've run both power and performance troubleshooters, and made sure I have all the most recent windows updates. Where would I look for the relevant programs?

Cheers

I've managed to access the list of downloads for my model, but there's a lot of different ones. None of these have been updated since 2011.

Could you advise me on which ones to install/download? Cheers mate.
