EKWB l360 prefilled?

Solution

All you will need is distilled water. The kit come with a coolant concentrate that you mix with distilled water.

That might answer my next question. I was going to go distilled water to start, but my understanding is that doesn't do anything to prevent organic growth at all. Don't want a dirty fishtank in my PC. Retailer I purchased from sent me a free kill coil, which I think addresses this. EKWB says no kill coils in their systems due to metal mix. I'm a little out of my league with the liquid issues and usually end up in someone's argument about whether 1+1 equals 2 or whether 2+0 does when it comes to what to fill the loop with.

Hoping I'm not out of my league with needing to assemble the kit and fill it, but every first time water cooler has to try it the first time I suppose.

Thanks guys. Excited as hell to put together my first new build in about nine years, but scared about running water through it too.

960 Evo 500gb boot drive and EVGA 1000w g3 arrive tomorrow and then I get started!

With the included bottle of coolant concentrate that you mix with distilled water, you don't need a kill coil since the coolant already contain all the protectants needed for your loop. The concentrate is 100ml and you mix it with 900ml of distilled water.

Be sure to flushed (with distilled water...no coolant required at this time) your radiator a few times prior to installation in the loop because they can still contain some debris. Fill it, shake it, flush it in a bowl and check the debris. Redo the sequence with new distilled water until your water comes clean out of the radiator.

Then you can begin the installation of your loop. :)

That would save me an hour or two of driving tomorrow. I have a Microcenter that has EKWB solutions. If there is something included I can use with distilled, I'll start there. Thanks for the heads up on prewashing.

Here's what the kit you're getting looks like. You can see the coolant listed in the included parts section.
