So to start off I am confused on what to buy for Christmas. Both of the choices are under 450 bucks the most I could stretch my budget would be 480$. Please do not recommend that I get a better processor unless it is still under 450 dollars. I currently have 2 monitors that are 1360x768 resolution I would only upgrade one with the first option.

Current PC Specs:
AMD 860k
Gigabyte GTX 960 windforce 4GB
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB
MSI X88X-G43 MB
Corsair TX 650 watt
Corsair Spec 02 PC case

My first option is to get:

AMD FX 6300
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P motherboard
Corsair Hydro H60 AIO
24-Inch 1080p monitor
ThermalTake PSU cable extensions

Total: 437.25$ *including shipping costs

My second option is to get:

AMD FX 6300
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P motherboard
Corsair Hydro H60 AIO
Asus GTX 1060 3GB Dual fan

Total: 488.52$ *including shipping cost

Which choice should I go with? I am thinking of getting the corsair H60 AIO or a Hyper 212 Evo for the second choice. Anything I didn't mention about upgrading will stay the same.

Solution
I don't know where you're located, options or local pricing but the fx 6300 brings little to the table over the 860k besides 2 additional cores. I doubt performance will be much different.

Adding a costly aio to a low budget mediocre cpu seems a bad choice on a budget. Is the pc for gaming, video editing? Assuming gaming by the gpu.

That build is right around your $450 budget and will perform better.

I would just buy a decent CPU cooler, overclock your CPU, buy a GTX 1060 and sell your 960.
Or anouther option would be something like this that would set you up for the next 4 or 5 years with just a video card upgrade when you can using your 960 for right now.
