hello guys, im sorry if i put this thread at a wrong tags, right now im using corsair h80i about 2 years and going. i have this unused cm-hyper 212x turbo with the cover for the cpu plate open because i thought i dont have to use it again, but right now im thinking to change it back to cm hyper 212x turbo. but can i use it again after i left the plate bare open without protection inside the box. can i clean it or not? if can, how to clean it so i can use it again?

I think it's fine, the heatsink isn't suposed to be so fragile to get damaged this easily.
Just remove the dust, make it clean enough to make it shiny again.
If there's any scratch, as long as it's small it should be fine, thermal paste is there for filling those spaces anyway.
If you're unsure you can post a pic of the surface.

i selected the solution, thank you for information. much appreciated. there's not any scratch because i put it upside down and without anything attached to the plates. just thinking whether it will be safe to use it again or not... nubb here ...
