Hello,
I have just tried overclocking my MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X and got the following limits using MSI Afterburner:

  • +2040 core clock (+120)
    +4700 memory clock (+700)

I moved my core voltage up to +50%, which puts my GPU at a temp average of ~70 degrees.

My question is how do people get far higher overclock limits using the same card? I often see people getting between +2100 - +2200 core clock.

I'm pretty sure my memory clock is pretty good now? I only saw a few people who got higher or about the same.

Thanks

not to mention the fact that that extra couple mhz won't net any extra fps. out of the box to the oc you did probably got you an extra 2 fps if that. not worth the trouble really for almost no gain. enjoy the card and know that that extra couple mhz is basically worthless anyway for anything real world
