Looking for advice on updating my system

Soo I'm looking at getting a new motherboard, cpu and graphics card

What I'm looking to get;

Motherboard - MSI 970 Gaming AMD AM3 GBE LAN ATX Motherboard

CPU - AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core 3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W

Graphics card - Radeon RX 470 Series Graphics Card

I'm just wondering whether or not I'd also need to upgrade my heatsink, RAM and power supply

I'm currently running 8gb ram and my power supply is 250w

Also i think my heatsink is a 60mm

Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated

First off, don't buy anything AMD right now.
The FM2 platform is just a poor performance, no upgradeability platform.
The AM3 platform (the one that FX6300 is in) is a 4 year old platform that is far inferior to intels current offerings.

You will be MUCH better off either waiting until Jan/Feb for AMD Razen (next gen AM4 cpus), or if you must by something now then a intel i3 6100 will do doughnuts around a fx5300. Since you are getting new gen Intel or AMD you will need DDR4 memory.

Yes you will need a new power supply for a RX 470. You could get a 450w and that would be fine for your 470 but planning for future upgrades a 550w would be better. I would suggest this...

I do, it's not massive, probs lookin to spend about £400-600 including what's listed already, going to have to save for a bit tho, just want to make sure i have an idea of whats a necessity to have so i can run with those, dont really want top top end i just want something that'll surfice to run games like ARK on high-epic with minimal lag

Right... I'm not on the biggest of budgets right now but i shall do a bit more research into all of it.

Looks like i'll probs be waitin a bit longer lol
