Hey guys how are you doing? Hope your having a nice holiday(or soon will!). I have an i5 2500k running stock(always been stock according to the last owner) with a Dark Rock Pro 3 cooling it. Under full load, games only, it tops out at about 50c when the room is being heated, and idles anywhere between 24c and 32c(PC is right infront of a heater :c). I wanted to know what kind of overclocks I should be looking to do with my motherboard and cooler.

I have some intake fans, but will soon be moving onto a Game Max Titan case, and will water cool with a Arctic Cooler 240.I've been told there'll be little to no difference in cooling between the two, but it's always been my silly little dream. Alongside those two, i'll be geting a Gigabyte GTX 1060 WindForce2 OC 6GB, so I want to make sure my i5 2500k doesn't bottleneck it, with 2 more 4GB Dual Channel Corsair Vengance DDR 1600MHz RAM sticks. I remember reading a guide somewhere on TomsHardware for the i5 2500k, but had difficulty following it. I greatly appreciate any and all help with this endavour. Thank you!

Full Specs:

Intel i5-2500k, Stock freq, no OC'ing ever

GTX 750 Ti, Windforce 2X 2GB OC Edition, stock freq

2x4GB Corsair Vengance Low Profile 1600MHz DDR3 RAM,no OC

bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 3, fresh thermal paste. Isn't screwed down properly, so isn't making optimal contact with the CPU, but keeps it cool :>

Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3, beta UEFI Bios, can't believe they didn't give it a proper update >:c.

Corsair AX750W PSU, Gold Certificate.

I have similar rig same CPU.
The Gigabyte GTX 1060 WindForce2 OC 6GB is an awesome card for 1920 x 1080 and let you room if you feel bottleneck (depends on what games at what resolution) overclock the cpu to 4.2-4.4 ghz and I didin't have to push more voltage to it. It idle @ 30 degree and goes 50-60 on max load.
Mine doesn't stay stable @ 4.5 ghz or more but yours might.
Bottom line 2500k is still a great cpu today!
