2 single stick to dual channel?

Using one stick RAM first, and boot into the BIOS to setup the intel XMP, check the manual for how to. After that, shut down the PC, install other stick ( should be in other same color slot) and boot the PC.

And if you can boot the PC with those two sticks RAM, and the PC will run on the dual channel mode.

So i need to enable xmp first?
