Hey everyone so I'm trying to decide which to do. I want to game at work and friends house both have great Internet. I have an old gaming laptop (2008/9)but the problem is i will have to replace the harddrive and get a new os to get it running and it's a 17" heavy Asus rog or just get a new cheap light laptopor Chromebook But will the moonlight game stream and remote play PS4/one work on it very well. Those are the main things it will be used for?

Can anyone help me out on this or have used them on cheap laptop?

If you can afford $350 then I recommend you look at the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM.

- 7th generation Intel Core i3-7100u (2.4GHz)
- Intel HD 620 graphics core
- 1080p screen
- 4GB RAM
- 1TB Hard drive

Due to updates to the CPU architecture, the Core i3-7100u is basically equivalent to the 1st generation i5-560m. The i3-7100u would be roughly equal to a 1st generation i5 CPU running at 3.3GHz. Therefore, it should meet Sony's relative low system requirements.

The Intel HD 620 is pretty decent for integrated graphics. It is almost equal to a nVidia 920m. It is capable of playing some games though they need to be tweaked. For example, the Intel HD 620 should be able to play LoL using max graphic settings @ 1080p with an average of 50 FPS. Skyrim would be playing at 1366x768 using default graphic settings. If you know how to tweak the SkyrimPref.ini file, then playing at 1600x900 resolution is possible with good performance. Playing at 1080p with decent performance may also be possible with the right tweaks.
