Hi folks well this is a first post for me so bear with me as I'm not too computer savvy.
We bought a Zoostorm PC for our son last Christmas that was sold as a good gaming starter PC but having spent some time on his cousins his is apparently " xxxxxxx, un repeatable !"
So here's the basics of the system.
AMD A10-7700K Radeon R7 , Cores 4C+6G, 3.4 Ghz
RAM 8GB
64 bit operating system, x64 based operating processor
1TB of memory
The graphics card is an integral one, AMD Radeon (TM) R7, 1024MB, DDR3, 720 MHZ and it runs Windows 10.
I've literally read this all off the screen so sorry if I've got any of that wrong.
He's basically using the system for gaming and a small amount of Internet browsing.
Any guidance as to what we should be considering upgrading, graphics, memory etc would be really helpful however having only bought this last year we aren't in a position to buy an entire new computer so keep that in mind.
Cheers
Pete

The Rx470 is the most powerful of the three obviously. The 1050 Ti is that sweet spot budget card where some games can be...
Well, I am not the best AMD guy, but I believe the FX ships are more suited for gaming. However, until he Zen chip arrives (which is probably not going to be here until a few months from now), the FX is almost like a hitting a dead end when driving.

A few questions: what's your max budget? what games are you aiming for? what quality are you aiming for? do you have the type of motherboard?

The main games he plays are Overwatch and Minecraft. When he's playing Overwatch the fps varies between 5 to 20, as for the motherboard I don't believe Zoostorm give that information out as I can't find it anywhere. Budget.....now there's a question, probably £200. With hindsight should have bought better in the first place

Hi again, have been looking into the RX470 but you also mentioned the GTX1050 Ti which I have to be honest is significantly cheaper than the RX-470, haven't looked at the RX-460 yet. Would there be a noticeable difference between these 3 cards in your opinion bearing in mind that the price points seem to be £110 (rx460), £150 (gt X 1050 Ti), £190 (RX-470),

The Rx470 is the most powerful of the three obviously. The 1050 Ti is that sweet spot budget card where some games can be played at max settings, and others can be played at low- to medium with great frames per second. The RX 460 is the least powerful of three. I only recommend me this to users when budget is very strict. So if you can get the 470, go for it, if not, then the 1050 Ti is your best bet.
