So long story short I bought a new power supply and replaced it with theach one in my computer. I plugged the 24 pin into the motherboard and then I plugged the psu into an outlet. I tried flipping on the psu switch buto it still wouldn't turn on. I tried 3 different outlets and it still wouldn't flip on. Does this mean it's broke? Or was something wrong with my motherboard.

Solution
there should be a 24 pin and ether a 4 or 8 pin cable plugged into the mohterboard. The new PSU should ether have a 4 pin or 4 + 4 pin labeled cpu or ESP. If your board only has a 4 pin and you PSU has a 4+4 just leave the other 4 pin plug hang there, or you can zip tie it up to the cable if you want.
