Some starting information. I use a desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, wireless connectivity using a USB adapter conneting to a Linksys AC2600 router and Xfinity docsis 3.0 modem. I have attempted to remedy the problem with different Wifi adapters but to no avail. They are a Cisco AE6000 and a Netgear A6100. I live in a fairly large house, which gave me problems with signal quality until I upgraded to this new router about a month ago. I'm connected on the 2.4 ghz channel. My bandwidth shows up as 25-28 mbps, and I generally have no problem connecting to webpages.
Starting 2 or 3 days ago though, I noticed high ping in my online games including World of Warcraft and Blade and Soul. I tried to find a solution and came across PingPlotter to help diagnose. It turned out that I had intermittent ping spikes every 10-15 seconds causing the issue.

I had seen a problem like this before, which had been fixed by using WlanOptimzer. I tried this and it didn't work. As stated, I tried a new USB Wifi Adapter and it didn't work. I tried different USB ports, on both the front and back, including the 3.0 port that I had installed (and working correctly) and it didn't work. I tried updating my BIOS and chipset and that didn't work either. One thing I noticed is that after I first start my computer the problem doesn't appear in pingplotter. But then when I try streaming something or connecting to an online game, it begins then.
So next I tried other desktops in the house also connected to the wifi, and they didn't have the problem at all, which makes sense considering the high ping starts at the very first connection. Then I moved the desktop into the same room as the router...and experienced the same problem. Finally, I used an ethernet cable I made to connect to the router directly...and no ping spikes!

So now I'm worried that my motherboard is busted, which would be a huge problem since I don't exactly have the funds lying around for a new one. I also don't want to have to take this in to Geek Squad. Please help! :)

Solution
Okay the problem has been figured out. It was due to bad Video Card driver software...of all things. Radeon ReLive was a game streaming application included with the newest version of its video card software. It seems to have been causing the ping spikes which is why it mysteriously appeared at random and only on my computer. I solved the issue by clean uninstalling and then installing fresh with the newest version (16.12.2) which doesn't cause the issue.

Update: I tried using 'netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface="Wireless Network Connection 2"' and it seems to have eliminated the p[ing spikes for now, though I'm still getting intermittent packet loss on wifi. Will stay updated in case the problem returns.
