i hav an g31 avertek motherboard, i am confused as my motherboard is not much powerful.

With respect to RAM, your motherboard accepts DDR2.

A graphics card has its own RAM, separate to the RAM you install in your motherboard. You'll likely need a graphics card which has a legacy BIOS option or find an older one before UEFI was introduced.
