771 to 775 mod didn't work

Hey all,

I tried to install an E5420 into a GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard. I've modded both the CPU and motherboard but can't get the PC past posting. Is it a BIOS problem?

If you had to mod this in order to get it to work when it doesnt work together naturally, id say its the mod itself that didnt work before id blame a BIOS or something else.
