Hi,

Recently j have bought components to complet my first mining rig. First choise was msi z170a motherboard, with 5x gigabyte rx480 8gb g1 gaming graphic cards. When j have instaled win10x64 (last update, last drivers gpu, last bios, last gpu bios), my win doesn't seen 5th card, works fine with 4 cards, but when j put one more it come with problem to install one card. J found on mining forums that asrock motherboards are compatibile to work with multi gpu sistem, and j have bought asrock pro4s. After changing with msi it works same as before, 5th card won't work. Those somebody have same experience with this kind of problem, or have some objectively explanation for my problem?

Thanks a lot!

um...Pro4s only has two pcie x16 slots and couldn't fit 4 rx480's even if you cut the ends off the x1 slots.
perhaps you are confused on what you own but try reading the motherbds specs befor eyou buy, it will tell you how many graphics cards it supports. For 4 or more gpu's you will need a E-ATX motherbd at minimum and as far as I know of, there are no zocket 1150 motherbds that will support 5 gpu's. You're going to need to sell your processor and ram so you can buy compatible stuff for the new motherbd.
