I have found that our internet wifi works really well - sometimes. SO things like netflix are mostly fine on the ipads, and day to day browsing on laptops, pc. Sometimes there's wait, but mostly its ok.

I am having a problem however with my epson scanner which can do one or two scans fine (sometimes), and then takes ages (like 7 minutes). Here's what my attempts to sort have revealed:

  • ■ network status tool from the printer/scanner gives 'A router/access point channel conflict has been detected.'
    ■ when i run the Epson scan settings tool i frequently find it cannot connect.
    ■ after some google work I understood that it might be because there is some congestion on the router channel (i think!) so I ran net-surveyor which has shown the attached screen shot. I set my router to 11 sometime back.
From the SS would it seems to me that congestion isn't the problem, though I may be wrong about that!

My network is the red one.
(oddly the old provider, the ever wonderful talktalk, is still showing (green) on the scan - I wonder if this is causing an issue)

Can someone please advise me what I need to do/try to sort this.

Many thanks

E

Solution
You need to change the channel on one of the devices that have the conflict. Advanced Wireless settings on most routers. Make sure you change the channel to one that is not in use. Change the router to channel 6 if the scanner insists on using channel 11.
