Cpu 70 degrees celcius pc freezing

Im running windows 8.1 is there some failsafe that is making my pc freeze? Realtemp shows max 71 of both cores when I restart. its only when im playing games. Or should I leave as is and try something else to fix it so I dont fry my cpu? Thanks and Merry Christmas

Download HWMonitor to check your temps. Drop your games to windows mode and check with HWMonitor whilst the system is under load.
You don't want to have 80C as this will degrade your CPU in short time.
So its either your Cooler or you need to re-apply your TIM.
