Just purchased 4 memory sticks for a quad channel motherboard, can I buy more in the future?

I see all the threads on how you shouldn't add ram in the same channel afterwords because it may not work. I was wondering if i could install a whole 4x4gb kit right now, and then add the same model ram in the other channel later on and if it would be alright. I don't know if I'm describing this accurately so ask more questions if you need me to explain more

Solution
Well no, not necessarily have to put in another channel, depends how they are controlled but DDR3 and newer is pretty tolerant to mix and match so if you get same RAM again it should work properly.

I have the ASRock x99 Taichi, which has 8 ram slots total. Im planning on sticking 4 sticks of ram into one channel for now, and then getting the same model and filling in the rest later. From my knowledge, as long as I don't add ram into the same channel, i shouldn't have to worry about incompatibility.
