Hello everyone, I am in dire need of assistance. I recently bought parts for a new pc build and I finally have it all put together but I have a problem... When I turn on the fully assembled PC it outputs a black screen. I can't get to the bios, or install an OS. I tried the graphics card in another system, and it didnt output. But I also tried a different but older card in my new motherboard and still no output. The fans don't spin on the graphics card, and the motherboard powers fully on with no error beeps. I tried resetting the CMOS and changing the battery, I tried using both the DVI as well as HDMI and nothing. Everything is plugged in, graphics card and motherboard both have their respective cables. I've double checked all part compatibility and there seems to be no issue. The graphics card is in the slot closest to the CPU and I have dual 16GB ram sticks in slots 1 and 3 respectively. The motherboard is an ASRock x99 Fatality Proffessional, and the graphics card is an Asus Geforce GTX 1070. I have a 750W powersupply so there should not be a power issue. Can someone please help?

I have the intel core i7 6800. How can I update the bios if I can not even see the bios screen? Or for that matter, install windows or get a picture. But according to the sticker on my motherboard, it has the 3.10 bios required for my cpu

If your cpu pins are bent you may see a black screen. If your ram sticks are not put in properly or in the wrong location your computer will have a black screen or weird screen. Try reinstalling ram sticks or look at your cpu pins if they are bent just in case.

I'll give moving the ram a shot. How will I tell if the pins on the cpu are bent? They're pretty small. If it helps any I tried the graphics card on another system that has been working for years and still no output. Not even to bios.

Try using a magnifying glass. Use tweezers to put em back in place. If that doesnt work play around with the ram. Worst case is that ur ram is faulty.

Found one bent pin and tried to fix it. But power does not seem to be getting to all parts of the motherboard. The debug lights will not come on. Also, powersupply died on me today.

You need to buy the new PSU first. If the PC still has problem after you install the new PSU, and you will need the new CPU.
