Hey Guys,

The last couple of days, suddenly the resolution for my screen gone to low and then my nvidia driver disappeared and instead it appears as Microsoft basic display adapter.
Then it got worse as while booting up the bios displayed strange characters and the motherboard logo background have strange pixels appeared.
you can check it here:

Then now I am seeing some yellow vertical lines all over my screen. I have tried to uninstall that Microsoft display adapter and reinstall my Nvidia drivers
but it never worked again.

I even tried to upgrade my bios but didn't either work.
So is it my VGA dying or it's a motherboard issue?

Motherboard model: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
VGA: Nvidia Geforce GSO 9600

Solution
Ya, looks like either the GPU is bad or you need to clean your graphics card and put in new thermal paste. My friend had this problem, because his GPU was very dusty and dirty. All he had to do was disassemble the GPU, wipe of the old thermal paste and apply a new paste and assemble everything back together. The GPU now works flawlessly, so maybe your graphics card is just very dusty and needs a cleaning.

Hope this helps.

Man, You have saved me from spending money on new GPU !! It worked after unpacking the GPU fan then cleaning the card from dust.

You are the best. Thank you very much :bounce:
