So i recently got an i5 4460 and an ASUS H81M Plus motherboard, and it didnt turn on. after checking everything, trying everything etc, it still wouldnt turn on. i thought i had a dead mobo, which was weird, because the green light on the mobo did turn on.

anyways, i looked around on the internet and found out that maybe my BIOS needs an update, because it is old and doesnt recognize my haswell cpu and therefore wont boot.

the problem is, i cant flash the BIOS with a USB, since my motherboard doesnt have that function.
is there any way i can update it?

Per the notes on the CPU Support Page for that motherboard:

*Before using the new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, we suggest that you first download the BIOS updater for new Intel 4th Gen Core Processors and then update the BIOS using this tool.

Just means you need to run the updater that is included with the BIOS download in order to update the BIOS. If that's not working, then it's likely you would need to get a natively supported CPU like the I3-4130 (BIOS version 0211) to boot your system and then update the BIOS so you can install your new processor.
