changing two 6+2 pin connector to 1 8 pin + 6 pin for GPU

will it make a difference in supplying power if i switch from two 8 to 6+2 connector to 1 8 pin to 8 pin + 6 pin connector for my GPU?

The power draw will depend upon the brand and model of the card.

Some of the non-reference design cards will draw more power. For example, the Palit GTX 1080 GameRock Premium 8 GB will draw, on average, 210 Watts during gaming whereas an NVIDIA Reference Design GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB GDDR5X Card will draw, on average, 166 Watts during gaming.

alright, will it affect my overclocking with my GPU, it is the 1080 which suppose 2 only need 180 W?
