new comp acer i5 8gb ram win 10, is more ram better?

will adding 8gb or 16gb improve overall performance, im non gamer . usually 45 tabs open in chrome and doing netflix/utube while editing photos/video. will graphics programs open/process faster with more ram or is 8gb sufficient?

Hello everyone, I want to thank you for being helpful dealing with my new computer it seems as though after a week of using chrome the eight gigs my computer came with was insufficient, chrome seems to be eating up a huge amount of memory RAM sometimes it goes up to 94% and the computer freezes or slows down. So a few days ago I ordered an additional eight gig RAM stick. I installed it a few hours ago and it seems to of taking care of the problem for now, hopefully chrome won't eat up even more memory because I've added RAM for a total of 16 gigs. I'm hoping that the RAM total of 16 gigs DDR for will be able to handle all of my programs browsing watching Netflix and editing photos and video, I'm confident and the computer seems to be a lot faster.
