Hi i am a novice with computers.I have an HP pavilion dv7 2030ev . It had a ram stick (Samsung 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2) .Anyway after 8 years of solid performance it didnt pass Windows 7 memory test so i decided to buy a new one. I got a trascend 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 D045000960 from a store and the seller told me i only had to plug it in.Of course i removed the old one before that.So i formatted my laptop and installed windows 7 but i keep getting a blue screen a few minutes after i log in. Could it be the new RAM?

Here i provide what the windows showed me after the reboot Problem signature:

Ok , update: It turned out to be a drivers related issue, i updated all the drivers and the blue screens seem to have stopped BUT i still get a black screen with a cursor before i log in. Plus the laptop seems to be a bit slow while multitasking. Finally when i open a program or after i log in i see small black windows pop for 1 second(like command prompt) and then they close.
I do not know a lot about RAMs but could it be because i bought a 667MHz instead of a 800 MHz?
