I have a gaming pc from the ages and it seems to just not be working verry well at all, and i need to know if anything on here can maybe be reconfigured/OC'ed internally to maximize performance because i cant play any games besides league of legends and the computer sometimes dosent even want to do that. I see the MOBO has options to over clock pretty much anything from the cpu, ram, gpu, even the pci slots

CPU: intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
MOBO Nvidia 680i SLI( 122-ck-nf68)
RAM: 4X1gb G.skill F2-6400CL4-1GBHK
GRAPHICS:
2 Nvidia GeForce 9500 gt SLI'ed( not sure if it works tho)
and a Nvidia GTX650

any suggestions as i cannot get any new parts for quite a while?

Use that system while it still works and get a new pc down the line. Spending money on it is pretty much useless. Also get those 9500gt's out of that pc. You are running 2 diffrent gpu's in there and 2 of them are in sli this causes a lot of issues and wil make games crash/ not being able to decide what card to use/ use the wrong card. Just the gtx 650 in there is good enough. If you are willing ot spend about 20$ you can easily get 8gb of ddr2 form ebay. If the c2q has a non stock intel heatsink that is decent you can get that to 3.4 if it has the stock intel one 3ghz is the limit. Just don't go over 75c.

you guessed exactly what was happening with my games i stuck with the 650 its self but in regards to the ram upgrade the mother board manual says i cant go more than 1gb per slot so i thought i was maxed on 4gb? is that right?

the special heat sink i have is pretty big metal thing with two large case fans sitting on top <--- the best way i can describe it. how would i go about pushing the clock speed on the cpu? any chance you can help me out with a walk through ?

Your motherboard supports up to 8gb of ram so you can upgrade it. Can you take a pictur eof the heatsink and put it up on imgur or so and put the link here? I think I might know what heatsink you are talking about but I just want to be sure.
