Best cpu for overclocking?

Solution
I don't see that happening unless a very low price is found on a used cpu and then I'd be concerned with why it's priced so low. 4 core intel cpu's are i5's and there aren't any at 150 much less an unlocked one. A dual core pentium g can be had for under 100 and can be overclocked.

That, go to an 4690k with and Z87 MB (will need bios update, and you can't update without a supported cpu) or Z97 (get this one) or go to an 3570K with Z77 MB or go to AMD (octa core processor, like 8350, 8320...) or wait for AMD's Zen. You can also try the 4670k with Z87/Z97 (don't need bios update)

Some boards (Asus expensive ones) can upgrade without CPU or RAM installed via pen drive. Other will need all the supported parts (CPU/RAM) to update BIOS. The problem with 5675C is that it is not supported before a BIOS update, so you will need a supported processor to update the BIOS before using 5675C or go to a local shop that have one to update your BIOS
