I'm just looking for a brief explanation on the differences between these two cards. Would it be worth to spend the extra 20 something dollars for the FTW or just stick with the SSC?

Solution
The FTW has a 6 pin power connector whereas the SSC does not, which means that it will be able to draw more than 75W of power and therefore will overclock further. If you're not super limited on power, I'd actually get the RX 470 as you can get one for the same price and it will be 30%+ faster than both cards. If you must have the 1050 ti, your choice between the FTW and SSC should be based on how much you plan on overclocking the card. Personally I'd get the SC instead of the SSC as they're limited to the same power requirements anyways and the single fan is more than capable of dissipating 75W, but it's up to you at the end of the day.

Alright, thanks for the response. I'll probably choose between the SSC and SC now as I don't plan on overclocking.

Unless you REALLY don't want to, I would overclock to be honest if you get either the SC or SSC. Since the card is hard limited to 75W, you will basically be able to just crank up the core and the card will limit itself based on power. The x50 and x50 ti cards from Nvidia are notoriously easy to overclock for this reason. However, GPU boost 3.0 will give you some extra boost anyways. There's just literally no way you can possibly inflict any short term or long term damage your card with the 75W power limit.

Ok. Yea, I'm gonna go with the SC and overclock it. Thanks again
