Restarting computer turns screen black, mobo post code 97

Hello,
I've got an annoying problem. Whenever I restart my computer(either from windows or physical button), the screen goes black and motherboard post code shows 97(not on screen, on mobo).
It seems like the windows quits, so it is not windows's problem. It is kinda stuck on bios post screen and will be there stuck forever, if I don't shut my computer down.
My only option to restart is to shut down computer and then start it from button again.
The post code 97 stands for: "Console Output/Input devices/Console initialization and Load Option ROM (VGA, RAID, parallel ports, serial ports......)"

MSI Z170A M7
i7 6700k clocked at 4.3ghz
Kingston hyperX something memory 2x8GB, clocked from 2400mhz to 2500mhz.

Looks like it may mean there's a prob with the videocard

GPU is gtx 1070 msi gaming something x, what could be the problem? Everything works perfectly in Windows. Maybe I should install Integrated GPU (HD 530 or seomthing like that) drivers aswell? Although i don't think it would help...

Remove the videocard you installed see if onboard video works. If it does the videocard maybe dead

This sounds like a similar prob but it's a different code

No, you got it all wrong. Windows works and everything. Problem occurs when I restart the computer.

Well I think its still a videocard prob. remove it anyway see if it does the same thing

Or a PCI prob

WOW! Man, it actually solved it. Although, I would still like to use my videocard

, so I can't say the problem is gone.
Next step: how to get it working WITH gpu installed, waiting for You suggestions.

Got another desktop you could install that videocard in?? If it does the same thing I would say its faulty.

Send it back. if the videocard you installed needs power did you connect power to it

I don't have another PC to try it out, what do You mean faulty? Videocard or PCI-E slot? Videocard itself works perfectly in windows.

Well its either the videocard or the slot. One of them must be faulty. If removing it and using the onboard video works.

If there's another slot install it in that. Soon find out

Or reinstall it in the slot it was in, make sure it's in properly.

Oookay... I got it. PCI-E slot and GPU are fine. When I used only one monitor, everything worked. But when using two monitors and trying to restart, it goes black screen after exiting Windows and shows code 97. So the problem is dual monitors. Any suggestions?

Ok so what is the 2nd monitor plugged into??

Because you cant use the onboard video. Installing the videocard may or will disable it

And how is the 2nd monitor connected? VGA? DVI? HDMI?

Both are connected via displayport to my GPU.
Primary monitor is 2560x1440 16:9, secondary is 2560x1080 21:9 monitor.

So this videocard has 2 displayports and both monitors have displayport connections too?

Yeah, gpu has 3x DP and 1x HDMI.
Primary monitor has HDMI and DP, secondary has 2x HDMI, DP and DVI-D.
I tried connecting secondary through HDMI, same problem appears.

Umm with the 2nd monitor did you change the input to DP?

Or you may have to go into the Nvidia settings? And select the input?? The prob maybe a settings here, (that hasnt been selected / enabled)?

2nd monitor has input selected DP through monitor's UI. Monitor itself works in windows. What do you mean in nvidia settings? Nvida control panel?

I would say its a setting there somewhere. You just have to find out what and where it is !

I think I got it working. Messed a lot in BIOS. Cleared CMOS couple of times and switched settings. Finally got working!

Go here and change it. See if it makes a diff. In the BIOS

Integrated Graphics Configuration Adjusts integrated graphics settings for optimum system. Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu. ▶Initiate Graphic Adapter [PEG] Selects a graphics device as the primary boot device. [IGD] Integrated Graphics Display.

[PEG] PCI-Express Graphics Device <- Change it to this if its not on it
