Can PSU destroy a graphics card?

I'm having issues like random crashes and freezes and i have been thinking to buy a GTX 1060 to replace my old GTX 760.
The problem is, i don't know if the graphics card is causing the problem or is it my power supply.
I'm worried about power supply destroying my new graphics card.
What should i do in this situation?

specs: i5-4670k / 8 GB / GTX 760 / Super Flower Leadex Gold 550W (equivalent to US' EVGA G2 550) / Gigabyte GA‑Z87‑HD3

I'm sure you already know this, but that's one of the highest quality power supply's on the market. Unlikely that it's causing this issue, but then again it is a piece of electronics, so anything is possible.

Suggestions: Scan for infections then remove drivers with DDU and reinstall fresh copy.

Random crashes could be also caused by HDD,CPU overheat...
