I have a PC and a PS3 in the same room and both are connected to the same monitor. The problem I have is that VGA causes horizontal lines during PC-gaming. Something similar to what this guy has: http://i.imgur.com/9a7LM.jpg (I have a VGA->DVI adapter from my monitor to my GTX 970).
This doesn't happen while using HDMI, so I'd like to switch my PC to HDMI, but then I can't use my PS3 at the same time as my PC, as I tend to switch mid-gaming to either reply to a message or check for work related memos.
What I want to know is: Is it safe to keep both connected, so that if I'm going to use the PS3, I can just disconnect the HDMI cable and leave the VGA cable without having to reconnect everything?
