PC Specs:
AMD Radeon Rx 480
Coolermaster silent master 850w
Asrock 990 FX Extreme 9
AMD FX 8370
Gskill Sniper (2133mhz) 2x8

Hello guys i recently got my hands on this motherboard and i am trying to overclock my cpu (FX-8370) i am able to make my system stable running prime 95 for 20 minutes or so but i see that i have huge vdrops from 1.5 volts to maybe 1,2 sometimes when running the test, is there someone here able to help on what kind of settings decrease the vdrops on this motherboard?
Every power saving feature has been turned off

Solution
Change the load line caliration to 100% or more higher options that you have.

Off topic: HT should be on 2000MHz since you do not have too much benefit of something above 2000MHz while setting NB frequency to 3000MHz or more can give you a good performance gain.

i am using HWmonitor and constanly checking the cpu mhz and cpu v core voltage when running prime 95 i have drops from 4,7 to 1,4 for the mhz of the core and 1,5 to 1,2 for the voltage

There is your answer...

You have some power saving option enable and while the CPU is at full load with prime the voltage will be 1.5V at 4.7GHz but if CPU is not used the frequency goes down to 1.4GHz and voltage is set to 1.2V by the motherboard.

Check your BIOS and make sure that all power saving options are disable.

thx for your quick answer but as i said before i have turned every power saving feature off (disabled) while i am saying this i am new to asrock mobos and there maybe something that i am missing but i am pretty sure that's not the case because under cpu configuration tab i have disabled everything and also amd power saving settings under oc tweak tab , maybe there is something else?

yes both of them are turned off
is it possible for it to be a psu problem or do you think this is something with the bios settings?
i really need some help :(
