Looking for an efficiënt power supply

Hey, my dad is kinda worried about the power usage of my PC, because it is apparently eating a huge amount of power right now, and my PC isn't even THAT strong. My power supply I'm using right now is pretty cheap and I bought it just because I hoped it would do the job. But I'm curious if I would for change my Ewent EW3903 power supply atx 600w for a (for example) EVGA SuperNova 550 G2, would it make a big difference in price in the long run, or can someone recommend a good PSU for an affordable price range that is efficient.

Yeah that PSU is only 22 amp output, and 28 amp is required for one 1070.

Thanks for your reply, but does this PSU also cost less in the long run. I assumed it would because of the Gold Plus certificate, but I'm asking it just to be sure. With "costing less in the long run" I ofcourse want to know if it sucks a little less power for the same performance

The higher the efficiency rating, the more power it delivers for what it draws from your outlet. So yes, the high rated PSUs do save some on your electrical bill. How much they save really depends on how much you game, and what your electricity costs in your area.

Higher rated PSUs, especially ones of decent brands like Seasonic, also use very high grade parts, like the capacitors will be all Japanese made with high reliability, vs some being Chinese made.

Electricity cost savings from more efficient PSUs are usually negligible unless power costs a lot where you live. Having a good PSU is important, just don't expect it to save you a bunch of money on utilities.

Turning the computer off when you not using it will save the most power (shutdown, not sleep)
