Does this build work/what should I change?

I made this PC today after getting a couple of pc parts for christmas which included the i5, motherboard, and graphics card, had hdd from past pc.
I was wondering if it did all work together just to double check, and if anyone had any reccomendations for pc parts that would be better, or if I forgot something. Thanks, and merry christmas!

First of all, you should get an ssd for boot and keep that hdd for storage. Second of all, your memory is strange. Why don't you just get a 16 gb ram kit instead of 2 1x8gb. That might lead to some ram problems down the road. Just get a 16 gb ram kit. Not for sure, but if I was you I would get 16 gb kit.
