Liquid cooling device making an insanely annoying ticking noise

Hey everyone, I just found out I've had a liquid cooling device after snooping around as I put it in forever ago, and now in the past month putting any load on my processor (amd 8320-fx, got a hell of a deal on it) it starts to make this noise, I believe it needs to be replaced but I am unsure of with what good, cheap alternatives there are or if there is just any way to fix this one. My PC never runs hot (50-70 after multiple hours of gaming, 30-40 doing nothing) its just the sound if so annoying. The link is the noise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iunKGPHoUCY&feature=youtu.be
Quick edit: I 100% know it is coming from the cooling system, If I unplug it from the cpu fan slot all noise stops besides the usual case fan noises

Everything. Size, cooling at idle, cooling at load, cooling under OC conditions, ram clearance, ease of installation etc and imho even looks.

Not trying to be a fanboy either, but every time a cooling issue comes up, there's always somebody who will say 'just get a hyper212', like it's the end all-new all of coolers and exactly no thought goes into the answer. Yes the hyper212 is a good performer, yes it has a good price for that performance but f me, there's ½dozen other coolers that get overlooked at that same price/performance simply because it's just such a 'pat answer'. Deepcool gammax 400, Raijintek ereboss / aidos, be quiet! slim, cryorig H7 to name a few, all of which could fit a user's needs better than a hyper212 but are...

First things first. That's not pump noise, it's fan noise, almost positive. There's 8 screws you'll need to check, the 4 going through the fan to the radiator and on the back of the case there's 4 attaching the rad to the case. Check them all, they should be snug.

The cryorig H7 is a far superior cooler to the hyper212. Not only has 0 ram clearance issues it's 15mm shorter so is a much better fit in almost any case, has a much better/easier mounting system and handily out performs the hyper212 in every department.. For the extra few bucks it's totally worth it. The only reason the hyper212 is that popular is its price. It's 160mm height puts it in direct competition with many ATX case widths, it's too tall for most mATX cases, it's just freekin cheap while doing a respectable job. There are many coolers out there that do a far better job, quieter, at the same height even, they just cost more. The Raijintek Aidos has a 92mm fan vrs the hyper212 120mm yet actually beats the hyper212 by a full 1° under OC load conditions, while loosing by a full 1° at OC idle. Much smaller footprint, better fit, same basic performance, just usually costs a little more.

Hyper212, Bah.

Not trying to be fan boy or what so ever, it's true H7 probably outperform 212 evo on AMD 8320 because H7 is relatively new and the engineering process would be better (hive design fin and more efficient heat pipe convection), at amazon.com they both sold at same retail price and amazon recently crowned H7 as choice,

No need to disparage CM Hyper 212, at non OC state both coolers keep 8320 from throttling down.

Why not provide us with your test result on H7, we could use your

, what every department are you refer?

Oh, and btw, adding a 2nd fan on a hyper212 is almost pointless. Adds a considerable amount of sound for the price of @2-3°C better cpu cooling and the side affect of loss of much of the bleed air that's kinda important in the cooling of motherboard components such as the VRM's and other voltage regulatory circuitry surrounding the cpu. So while technically you should be able to hit a higher, stable OC at slightly lower temps, reality is you really don't because you loose out on the reasons that stability is possible when important voltage components temps skyrocket.

Better to diagnose and fix the current coolers issues than just buy a hyper212 from Amazon.

I've settled my reply with comment regarding rattling issue and cooler recommendation, didn't question other reply, couldn't add more for OP.

G.R.A.P.E.S, got it, personal attacks, vague. I won't argue your interpretation or defend my comment here.
Heated up on ...212, Bah... as moderator are you allowing a cooler master's product disparaging here? if the answer is yes, I might as well off this forum.

Update:
Adding second fan to 212 evo does add more sound pressure, that's a fact.
How many dB and will it be such a nuisance, only OP will know, that will be a different discussion.
2-3 deg cooler? what instruments are being used to get that exact numbers, on what CPU and its connected parts, and whose doing the procedure? as USAFret said, better sticks to the facts, I won't make personal common sense assumption guessing for an open forum like this, OP and viewers might overlooked the fact and use the comment as reference. I red techpowerup testing procedure, their equipment and tested coolers, it's haswell refresh CPU, generalize between that to AMD is dubious.

My comment was not directed at any particular person, but rather all participants here.

We've gone from diagnosing a loud noise (proble fan-wire interference?), into recommending different coolers, or whether two fans on a 212 is better or worse, louder or quieter.

Meanwhile, the OP just wants that noise to go away.

Disparaging the 212?
If there are facts that show other ones are better, great. I do not care.

I have a 212 +, currently installed in a system over on the other side of the room. I like it. It's very quiet, and does what it supposed to do.
I also have a Cryorig (the A80) installed in a different system, sitting here next to me.

Again...I don't care.
But when people start throwing out the term 'fanboy'...then a gentle hint to lay off is warrented.

Definitely sounds like the fan. Could be the bearings, could also just be loose screws. Either way, very easy to fix, cheaper than buying a whole new cooler, best to test for first, check the screws and fitment, swap fans with a case fan temporarily to see if the noise goes away or changes positions.
