I have an HP 110 417c which my sons loves but it started to give us boot device error. I ordered a refurbished HP DC 5800 with windows 10 for christmas. Its graphic card will not support games. Can I take the hard drive out of DC5800 and put into 110 417c?

If the DC5800 has windows on it and its not identical to the 110 417c no.

It may deactivate windows. Since windows wasnt installed on it

And it'll probably crash on you, because of the different chipset, and hardware on them

You could try but dont be surprised if there's constant crashing

Replace the hdd on the HP 110 417c then buy another version of windows

Yes the Dc 5800 has windows 10.installed. the hard drives themselves are in fact identical however the 110 417 is windows 8. I looked into purchasing a new graphics card for the DC 5800 but I have no idea what will work with DC 5800 and how to tell if it will be enough to run hos Sims 4 games?

It's not that the hard drives are identical, but rather the rest of the system.

Moving a drive with included Windows OS often does not boot up in the new hardware.
And if it does, then you often run into licensing issues, especially Pre Win 10.
