I recently bought MSI Gaming Intel Skylake H170 LGA 1151 DDR4 to replace my GA-78LMT-USB3, i also bought a Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache Processor to go with my new mb. While i was installing the mb I realized that I dont have DDR4 ram since my old motherboard was ddr3, so i looked it up to see if a computer can still start up and most people said yes, however my computer only started up for 1 sec then turned off (lights fans ect were on during the period). I bought some DDR4 ram and it should be in soon, will this fix my problem? It is also worth noting that my psu has 600w and works for my old motherboard.
