Early today my flatmate restarted the modem and now for some reason my desktop is unable to locate our wifi network. I am able to see our neighbours networks but not our own, yet all my other devices are still connected and working fine. I have no idea what the issue is and thus I have no idea how to fix it.

smiles.. what a great name.. BOB Lite... manual is at http://iihelp.iinet.net.au/sites/iihelp.iinet.net.au/files/BoB%20Lite%20Manual%20Final%20Sep%2027%20(web).pdf
Specs seem to say; BoB Lite is a 300Mbps-capable 802.11n wireless modem-router. it's operating on the 2.4GHz range.

your Wi-Fi Card on your PC, is spotting the neighbor's Wi-Fi you said, can you tell if it is on the 2.4 ghz band or 5ghz band ?
I am wondering if you just need to reboot your pc to reset your Wi-Fi card.. and if your Wi-Fi card is only seeing 5ghz band all of the sudden (therefore ignoring or unable to see BOB lite that work at 2.4ghz band)

I removed the network card and put it into a PC with a working connecting (my flatmates) and it had the same problem, I reversed the process and found that I was able to see the network with my flatmates network card. So now knowing that the problem is with the network card is the anything I can do?
