I did this test and it told me that "Recommended PSU Wattage: 372 W". My PSU is a CX 430W...

Specs:

Intel i7 4790 3.6GHz
Zotac GTX 1060 3gb
Mobo: GA-Z97P-D3 LGA1150
1tb WD Blue HDD
2x 120mm case fans
1 stock cpu cooler fan

Let me know if there are any other parts you need to know

questions;

1 . Are you running windows 8.1 ? I am asking because the search I did found a lot of win 8.1 users having that issues and win 10 upgrade was the issue, which points to internal issue with operating system.

2. are these crashes happening with all steam games? all origin Games ? are you running the origin overlay at the same time as your launching steam games and vice versa ? I am asking because they are known to sometimes interfere with each other

3. do any steam game you install run properly at all ? maybe consider a quick uninstall of "steam application" and install a fresh copy

4. have you tried in steam the following, right click on steam icon bottom of your screen , select library, on the left where your games are listed right click on it and select from pull down menu "properties", a new window will open, select the tab called " local files " then click on "verify integrity of game cache", if perhaps there was a problem during the download of the files, it may be corrupted and the program will; deleted them, then try to launch this game and see if it still crashes. if this solves the issue repeat the process for each game you have in steam.

Your Operating system might be windows 8 or 8.1 which causes compatibility issues or
try checking if your system is 32 bit or 64 bit because 32 bit has many limitation

I am running on Windows 10 (64 Bit)

Only 2 of my steam games crash (one of them has broken twice and then worked twice but is broken again :p )

I have uninstalled games / steam itself and it has not resolved the issue

I have attempted Verifying Game Cache.

At the moment i am backing up my needed files and programs as i am going to completely restart my pc because there is a 99% chance that will work, but until then i will do as you recommend!

Backing up my needed things and resetting the pc fixed the problem completely, so i must have had 1 (or more) dodgy programs installed that were messing with the games. Just one question though, do all games when run run in the background processes for a few seconds before opening because ive only seen it happen with these new games that had issues.
