Hey guys, here is my situation....

I have all of a sudden been getting full power off crashes where my computer, right in the middle of doing something, will power itself off as if someone cut the power to it, and then it will automatically reboot itself. I have built this system along with many others before, and this is the first time I have had this issue. Here is my setup, brought to you by PC parts picker:

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/liberty610/saved/#view=G48RsY

The only thing that list might not show, and I am not sure if it is relevant or not, but I have 2 video capture cards I have installed on the board. The 1080 graphics card is is the first 16x slot, I have a Hauppauge Colossus card in the the second 16x slot, and then an Aver Media Live Gamer HD card in the 3rd 16x slot.

I put this system together about a month ago and have not had any issues with it, but yesterday and today, doing simple web browsing tasks, it shut off right in the middle of a session I was in, and booted itself back up. Once yesterday, and once again today. No blue screen error, just an erupt power off and then it reboots. The first time it happened, I thought the power went out. But no, this was an erupt power off/crash.

I do a little bit of gaming, lots of audio recording for bands and what not, and video rendering (I run a small project studio). I know that all my fans are running fine, so I do not think this is a heat issue. Almost all the parts as far as cooling goes are all knew, and I can look in the case and see them all running. I don't think this is a temp issue, as I build my towers to have proper cooling. I am running CPU hardware monitor, and everything looks ok to me as far as temps go, so I do not think its a temp issue. The two times this happened the last 2 days, I was not doing anything heavy at all. Just e-mail and web site checking. Nothing more.

Can anyone point me in a direct to try and diagnose this problem? I bought the motherboard, processor, ram, SSD, all brand new. I am wondering if it could be the power supply dying out on me, as it is a few years old, but that's all I can think of. I have not cleared out my memory dumps with CCleaner yet, so if that will need to be posted, please guide me in how to do that and I will post it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks for the reply RARRAF. I did forget to mention that I was running Windows 10 pro with all the latest updates (including anniversary). And Windows 10 is installed on that Samsung M.2 SSD drive, with the other drives being for storage for all my media projects.

I am running the latest version of the BIOS already. f5 is the latest official version, and before I installed anything with this board, I put it on the work bench and I USB flash installed the F5 BIOS. The only other Bios available is a beta version, and I won't want to go that route, as I have had issues with Beta bios versions in the past.

I am also running Malware Bytes and AVG Free anti virus, and those came up empty, although I don't think a virus or maleware would be the issue, as I am very cautious on where I brows online and I only go to a select few websites.

I do run CPU-Z and HWMONITOR when bench testing/stressing things. I just ran them both and stressed the CPU, and like normal, all temps are fine. The hottest the CPU got while stressing it was 46 Celsius. I have the latest drivers for my GTX 1080 installed as well.

So far, this has happened twice in the last two days during random simple tasks while I was using nothing more then google chrome online. It didn't even happen during heavy workload tasks like video editing or gaming....
