Same WiFi network everywhere

Hey everyone!

I was at a hospital the other day and I realized they were using the same network for every floor. I mean, I didn't have to connect to a new wireless network, instead they had ONE NETWORK for the entire building.

My house is pretty big and I would like to know how to do that. Right now I have two access points, devices from ZyXELL that are some sort of range extender but they are completely different network connected to the router.

What about the one I already have? The ZyXEL Wireless N 300Mbps Range Extender (WRE2205).
Can I do the same with it?

I see. Well thanks then, it seems they are a great option the Luma ones but they are quite expensive indeed.

I agree, same technology that hotels and hospitals use. That's why you never lose the signal, no matter where you are.

One more thing. Which router would you recommend me? Currently I'm using one that my internet provider gave me but it sucks. It's a modem with WiFi.

It's called a gateway. I would go with an ASUS AC router. Really any AC router is where it's at. I have the AUSS RT-56AC. And I love it. Has many options. Got it used, and haven't looked back. It does run hot, but it is designed too. I bought a USB fan,a nd put it bheind the router.

You get the same "wifi network" by using the same SSID and password on every access point. This can work with wired APs or the new wireless mesh systems. What really makes it the same network is the underlying infrastructure that connects the devices, not the login credentials.
