What GPU Should i buy (GTX 1050/GTX 1060/GTX 1070/GTX 1080)

Hello, Just about to order a new GPU and i have been looking at A few different ones (Listed in the title) and im wondering what one would be best suited for me.

Here are the types of things i do/play on my PC

I have no interest with Virtual Reality

I mostly play games like Dayz, Rust and other open world games and also things like GTA and Skyrim

I Also want something Future proof if possible.

I have looked into it and i am leaning towards the GTX 1060 as the price is good But im not sure if this will meet what im looking for, so any advice of you guys is great!

Im coming from an old AMD R9 270

MY CURRENT SPECS ARE -

NZXT Phantom 530 Full ATX case

Intel Core i7 6700k CPU

AMD R9 270 GPU Could be a R9 290 But more likely to be the 270

AsRock Z170 Extreme7+ ATX Skylake Motherboard

Noctua NH-D15 Cooler

G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB DDR4 RAM

Your system will support all the way to a 1080. If cost is an issue, then you could move down to the 1070, with a corresponding decrease in "Future proof-ness"(is that a word?) Each step down reduces this value. With your systyem, the lowest I would go is the 1060 6gb version.
