Is water cooling really worth the risk?

Hi. This is my first build. Being a novice and everything, I was wondering if a AIO water cooler is just going to above and beyond. What I am really trying to say is, is water cooling that dangerous? I am really nervous that a water cooler could leak and waste a ton of money. Remember, I haven't even built a full on computer yet. The water cooler I am thinking about getting is (going all or nothing) a Corsair Extreme Performance Liquid Cooler. On Amazon, it is https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Extreme-Performance-Liquid-Cooling/dp/B019EXSSBG/ref=dp_ob_title

AIO coolers really aren't that dangerous. They come pre-sealed, so it won't leak unless you take a knife to it. That said, it is water flowing through your computer and freak accidents can happen, especially with the cheaper brands. I've been running a Corsair H80i for a year now, and haven't had issues, so the cooler you linked should be just fine.

That said, they are quite pricey and it probably isn't worth the risk and extra money unless you plan to overclock, or just want the bragging rights.
