Im looking for a new graphics card to replace the integrated card in my pc, Im torn between two cards because ive heard nvidia is better than amd but also that the Radeon RX 480 runs better than the GeForce GTX 1050.

if anyone could give their opinion on witch is better or help finding one better than both for under 200 it would be appreciated. thank you.

1. Why is the 1050 ti so much cheaper than the 480?

2. The RX 480's GPU chip has far more cores, cache, shader cores, etc. It competes directly with the 1060.

3. Look at benchmarks online...

could you explain why? the nvidia has higher max resolution and higher clock MHz so im confused as to why the 480 is better

480, by very far! The 1050ti is even not a close competitor to a 480! Its closer AMD equivalent would be somewhere between the 460 and the 470. So, for only 20$ more, the 480 is a no-brainer.

If you dont believe me, take a look at ANY benchmark. All put the 480 WAAAAYYYY ahead!
