Should I upgrade my CPU or GPU?

Hey everybody I'm new here but I've been reading a couple of threads from the site and been basing my build on the threads here as well since last year. Just created this account coz I needed a bit of help from techies that have a better idea about these stuff.

I'm thinking on upgrading my build but I'm also pretty much confused as to what I should upgrade first. I started getting into building my own gaming rig last year and it's been real fun. Just needed some advice about whether I should upgrade my CPU to a quad core like an A10 7860(yes I've put some thought into crossfiring but I've read around that my current GPU might not be compatible with the said APU), or just get an Athlon X4 860k, or upgrade my GPU which is where I'm pretty much clueless at. I'm looking to get better more stable fps on my games coz the way I see it I think my rig bottlenecks at certain points. But, I'm also kind of in a budget.

This is my setup...
MOBO - Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-S1
CPU - AMD A4 7300
GPU - Radeon R7 250X
RAM - Kingston 8gb 4x2 DDR3 1600 mhz
PSU - Deepcool De500
CPU cooler - Deepcool Gammaxx S40
CPU case - Sharkoon VG4-W
HDD - WD1001FALS 1TB & WD5000AAVS 500GB

I can run Skyrim at ultra which is real amazing for a budget rig and yes with mods. Dota 2 is also on ultra. Overwatch gets roughly around 40fps with low settings but constantly drops to below 30 and then below 20 at times till it drops to 10 which is pretty frustrating. Fallout 4 is at a pretty decent 30+fps on low settings but it drops when I get to pretty crowded places or big cities. It gets about 20-25fps on medium. Witcher 3 gets about 40+fps on low and and on medium it gets about 30 I think. Rise of the Tomb Raider with settings on low gets around 30+fps on low but also depends on the maps coz I noticed it drops and stutters when I get to terrains with weather. I can also run GTA V with everything on low at around 30 fps.

By the way I run my games at 1440x900 but sometimes change to 1280x1024/800/720 depending on whether the constant fps drops start to get real frustrating.

Well I pretty much still a noob when it comes to stuff more in depth abouth this. Could really use a bit of advice

As long as your system plays the games you like at acceptable rates then no upgrade is needed. Save your money for the big upgrade IMO.

Also, with Ryzen around the corner and doing so well (leaked benchmarks), its pointless to upgrade now. (also my opinion)
