My pci express slot fell out when replacing my graphics card, and im wondering if i should just leave the exposed pins alone, or do something about them.
Yeah sure, you can do that it's just that they are made out of spring steel and hard to snip. Just turn ALL the power off, even unplug PSU but you will most probably have to take MB out anyway.
Yes, do something else, change MB, any short and more than just MB may be toast. If you must keep it, cover it carefully with hot melt glue making sure it gets between contacts.

Do you think it would be fine if i were to snip the wires so that they wouldnt contact eachother and then put a piece of electric tape over it to make sure nothing shorts? Im not using the pcie lane for anything by the way.

Thanks dude, i managed to cut them extremely short with some side cutters and draping equipment so like a mini surgery and my computer works fine!
