I got a PNY GTX 1060 for Christmas, went to put it in my computer and it wont boot past the splash screen, also it beeps once every few seconds. Computer is a Gateway DX4860-UR14P with a core i5-3450, 16 GB RAM and its got a stock Acer motherboard with an upgraded 900 watt PSU installed. What am I doing wrong? I cant even get it to load into the bios or boot options. I would really appreciate any help. Let me know if any extra information is needed.

Solution
There are few solution to try:
1. Reseat your GPU. It can be a loose contact between GPU and PCI-e slot.
2. Reset CMOS. Sometimes, BIOS should update IRQ and other configuration to boot newly installed card. Do this by simply pop the BIOS battery out (coin sized battery, it has CR2032 3V written on it) or use CLR_CMOS jumper. Some MOBO has different way to do this method, refer to your MOBO manual.
3. Check any cable connection. Did you forget to connect 6+2 pin PCI-e supplemental power connector?
4.Test the card on another PC. It maybe a defect card or something else with your PC if it want POST.
5. Update your system BIOS
6.Check RAM or reseat/swap your memory modules.
7. Enable UEFI boot. Some new cards require this, check your BIOS...
