I've just recently swapped out my Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 ti for a Geforce GTX 1050 ti into my custom built PC. I started up my machine with it and it worked fine. I installed the newest Nvidia Geforce experience drivers and the computer went black for a moment, and then rerendered everything in a different quality but the mouse wasnt visible on screen. So I decided to try ctrl alt delete and then the screen went black, but it was still kind of backlit in a way. I then restarted my system and, pardon my ignorance of terms, te screen with the motherboard on it came up and then after that screen passed the same sort of black screens. I've tried pressing the keys it says to press in order to open BIOS setup, POST, and boot menu to no avail. Please, again, pardon my ignorance of terms.

Solution
Go back and install your GTX 650 Ti. If it boots successfully, un-install the Nvidia driver suite using DDU, then shutdown and install your new card. The system should find it and install the basic Microsoft display driver (look in device manager to confirm this by looking at the display driver properties). Then proceed to install the latest Nvidia driver for your OS (remember whether its 32 or 64 bit)
