My build:
I7 4790k
MSI Z97I AC Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB
EVGA GTX 1060 FTW+
Windows 10 64 bits

My problems started around summer when I would be playing a game and then the audio will drop and the game will start lagging. Later the video will drop too and the screen will turn dark and have “No Signal”. I’m using a VIZIO TV as a monitor btw. I thought it was something to do with my GTX 970, so I decided to upgrade to the 1060.

At first everything was fine, but then again, the problems came back. I then changed the HDMI Cable, but it didn’t work. So, I decided to go DVI and use a DVI to HDMI converter for the TV connector.

It worked also for a while, but again I have the same troubles, or worst. The game will usually crash when video/audio problem appears or the PC will just randomly restart. This only happing when gaming.

I really don’t know what to do now. I was thinking of plugging the PC to my old monitor, but I can’t find the damn power brick. Any help?

Solution
your issue is very similar to mine, i remember i played a graphics intensive game and same issues, audio out first then game goes to black, no signal then manually restart or auto

now im not sure how i managed to fix it but i think i fixed it by reinstalling the drivers properly (full clean uninstall at safe mode, reinstall and running stock) and not overclocking for awhile

try reseating the gpu, maybe its loose in some ways

repasting the gpu might help but with such new gpu i think its impossible that's the issue

its still a mysterious bug for me, and it magically disappeared some time after i tinker around more.
